Petite Legs was created with the intention of providing a selection of jeans especially for ladies with petite legs. As a 5ft petite with an inside leg length of 26 inches myself, the personal struggle to find jeans to fit me made me realise that there really is not enough selection out there.
In an attempt to discover the selection available to petites on the high street, I contacted 16 major UK high street stores including Next, Topshop, Gap and M&S to name but a few, to determine how they cater for petites, but more specifically, the availability of jeans with a short inside leg length. My results were shocking; 9 out of 16 did not have a petite range at all! Out of the remaining 7 shops with a petite range, the results for the shortest inside leg length of jeans are as follows:
1= 27"
1= 27 ½"
1= 28"
2= 29"
1= 30"
1= 31/32"
If you're lucky enough to have an inside leg length of 27" or above, you may get away with buying jeans without splashing out on getting them turned up but your choice of style will be limited by restriction to certain shops and the poor selection within them. If you're like me, 26" or under, you will find the high street does not cater for you at all.
My bad experiences and frustrations shopping for jeans encouraged me to establish Petite Legs, and my research led me to hear the cries of other petite legged women who also struggle to find jeans to fit, wishing for someone to come along and provide jeans that fit them!
Petitelegs.co.uk is an online boutique, specialising in fashionable ladies jeans for those with a petite inside leg length. We range between 24" - 30", but we will adapt to even shorter leg lengths if contacted.
By dictionary definition a petite woman will have a have a 'small and delicate build', but this is Petite Legs, where the emphasis is on the length of your leg, not your body frame, so we cater for ladies up to UK size 16, but again, can adapt to larger sizes if contacted directly.
